An inclusive global online community connecting over 70-million readers and writers through the power of story.
Initially, I was approached to support the marketing team at Wattpad, in developing awareness campaigns, a microsite and other digital content, as they worked towards and announced a long anticipated re-brand. Since then, I have been a part of countless executions for both physical industry events and digital initiatives on various channels, across their core brand, publishing and studios divisions.
An active part of the creative team at Wattpad, I developed concepts and campaign identities, designed a wide range of deliverables, and was tasked with providing feedback on fellow motion and graphic designer’s work. In 2023, I performed an in-depth internal audit on all branding executions and visual communications, to promote a cohesive approach to design that best aligns with the current brand positioning.

During 2021, I had the opportunity to update and design core components for Wattpad’s largest annual writing contest The Wattys.
It was an interesting balance of maintaining evergreen brand elements while introducing new components. I designed various stages of a microsite as the competition progressed, as well as many of the supporting assets, and provided a framework for other required creative.
I’ve also developed the look & feel for various campaigns; including multiple sales events like Black Friday, or celebrating our diverse community through initiatives like Pride Month.

What has made this experience great?
I enjoyed working with this growing tech company, because they continually champion diverse voices, while encouraging creativity, community and a love of reading. I also find the opportunity to deep dive into Gen Z culture, highly interesting and relevant in today's marketing landscape as an increasingly key demographic.
